We have a full week of events going on in High River during the week of October 20th – 26th, 2013.

Our Chamber Luncheon is on Thursday the 24th at 12 noon to 1 PM
Our speakers are Doug Bably from SL Ford in Slave Lake, AB. He is also the Vice President of the Slave Lake Chamber of Commerce. Also speaking will be RJ, of AFSC High River Office, to speak on his experience personally and as a professional with AFSC and how our disaster recovery program may be able to assist the local businesses.

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there are FREE breakfast workshops on Best Practices. Please call 403 770 5151 to reserve your seat.
On Wednesday, BMO is hosting a Biz Café from 9:30 to 4 PM. Staff will be on hand to answer questions on Business Accounts. Coffee and treats will be served all day.
On Friday, Scotiabank is hosting clients for light refreshment at their temporary location of 1007 20th Street SE, High River, T1V 2A6 and ask that you join them.

Identity Theft Workshops
The local RCMP office is holding an Identify Theft workshop this Thursday October 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM to help our community be proactive in protecting their credit and identity.
Place: 2nd Floor 710 Center (Bow Valley College, High River Campus)
They will walk you through what to watch for and how to be proactive in protecting yourself. In a technology based society after a disaster it is important to know how to recognize, report and prevent fraud.

The Chamber is providing two electoral forums for the candidates for Mayor and Council.
Mayoral Forum on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Highwood Memorial Centre.
Candidates’ Forum on Thursday, October 10th, 2013, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Highwood Memorial Centre.
