When hiring, it is hard to visualize the ideal candidate that you want for your company. What qualifications does he/she possess? These are very important details that you have to think about when hiring. You don’t want to go overboard but you will have to make sure to hit upon the most essential qualifications. So in order to do so, we have completed a  list of potential hires for you to consider.

In 2017 there were 32 Career Ready Gradates to choose from.

Medical Office Assistant with Health Unit Coordinator – 14  Graduates

Successful graduates will achieve the Certified Medical Assisting Professional (CMAP) designation in addition to their diploma. These graduates are fully qualified to work in a hands-on administrative and clinical support capacity in the medical industry.

Skill development is delivered in three areas:

Comprehensive medical administrative knowledge

  • In-depth hospital administrative knowledge of nursing units
  • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications
  • On-site work experience through participation in a Clinical Placement at an approved healthcare facility

Medical Office Assistant – 1  Graduate

Successful graduates will be eligible to achieve the CMAP – Certified Medical Assisting Professional designation in addition to their diploma. These graduates are fully qualified to work in a hands-on administrative/clinical support capacity in any medical field. They can participate in the delivery of a variety of healthcare industry tasks.

. Skill development is delivered in three areas:

  • Comprehensive medical administrative knowledge
  • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications
  • On-site work experience through participation in a clinical externship at an approved healthcare training facility

 Community Service and Addictions Worker – 8  Graduates

Social and community service workers administer and implement a variety of social assistance programs and community services specializing in addictions. They assist clients to address personal and social problems.

This program provides students with the basic knowledge, skills, and work experience needed to become permanently employable in a CSW and AW setting. Skill development is delivered in three areas:

  • Comprehensive community service worker knowledge
  • Exploration into the world of addictions. Exploration into the world of addiction treatment and prevention.
  • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications
  • On-site work experience through participation in a 140-hour placement at an approved CSW facility

Community Service Worker – 1 Graduate

Social and community service workers administer and implement a variety of social assistance programs and community services. They assist clients to address personal and social problems. This program provides students with the basic knowledge, skills, and work experience needed to become permanently employable in a CSW setting. Skill development is delivered in three areas

  • Comprehensive community service worker knowledge
  • Full range of computer and office skills, including current software applications
  • On-site work experience through participation in a 160-hour placement at an approved CSW facility

 Dental Administration Assistant – 1 Graduate

Introduces students to the role of a Dental Administrative Assistant (DAA) in today’s dental industry. Covers topics such as General Dentistry, Head and Neck Anatomy, Dental Instruments, Pain control, Imaging, Dental surgeries, Administration of a dental office, and General Accounting.

Business Administration – 3 Graduates

Its objective is to expose students to a vast array of business knowledge, management and administration skills, and practical tools that will assist them in dealing with situations within a business-related career. Courses focus on professional skills required by today’s employers, including knowledge of how businesses utilize technology, e-commerce, business correspondence, office procedures, project management, and employment success strategies

Computerized Accounting Procedures – 2  Graduates

The objective of this program is to provide the student with opportunities to acquire and apply the knowledge of bookkeeping, office skills, and accounting to meet the demands of today’s business.

Insurance Advisor -1 Graduate

This program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge required to work in the insurance industry in a variety of different capacities, and may include careers within a call centre environment. It prepares students to write the provincial licensing examination. In addition, the program introduces students to different practices and positions within the industry. Students also gain skills and experience in using the most commonly used insurance database and quoting software in Canada.

Office Administration- 1 Graduate

The Office Administration Diploma program prepares students to work in an office environment as administrators and assistants. The program provides students with comprehensive knowledge and office skills to make them successful as assistants in business settings
