RAYEC Camp
Rotary Alberta Youth Entrepreneurship Camp (RAYEC) is a week-long summer camp for youth ages 13–15 who are interested in business and entrepreneurship.
Campers learn key skills like marketing, cash flow planning, and business operations, all while setting up real businesses and pitching to actual bankers. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to build confidence, leadership, and financial literacy in a fun, supportive environment.
Camp runs from August 10–16, 2025, and applications close May 15, 2025.

Soaps It Up Charity Event for Cystic Fibrosis
CARSTAR High River will be hosting our annual Soaps It Up Charity Event. Our aim for this event is to bring the community together as we bring advocacy and awareness to Cystic Fibrosis.
All we ask is a minimum donation of $5.00. This donation includes a clean vehicle, and we'll also be providing all attendees with FREE burgers and hotdogs!

LITTLE BRITCHES PARADE
Grab your cowboy hat, pull on your boots, and head to downtown High River for the Annual Little Britches Parade on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00am. The streets will be filled with horses, wagons, marching bands, floats and cars of all sizes, and a smiling crowd shouting Ya-hoo!
With a full day of activities happening, stick around after the parade and take part in all the excitement.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training
As our rural community welcomes an increasing number of immigrant families, fostering an inclusive environment within our local businesses becomes essential. The High River Library, FCIS and FLIP invite members of the business community to a DEI training program aimed at enhancing workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and improving business outcomes. This initiative is designed to appeal to all business owners—those who recognize the value of DEI as well as those who may have reservations.
DEI training is about encouraging open dialogue and understanding of diverse perspectives. Each business is asked to send only one representative to attend one of the three training sessions, accommodating varying schedules through in-person and online options.
Why DEI is Beneficial for All Businesses
Enhanced Employee Engagement and Retention
• Inclusive workplaces lead to higher employee satisfaction and morale.
• According to a study by Deloitte, inclusive teams outperform their peers by 80% in team based assessments, resulting in improved productivity.
Access to a Broader Talent Pool
• With the influx of newcomer families, embracing diversity allows businesses to tap into a wider range of skills, experiences, and perspectives.

Online Session: One session available to accommodate remote participation.

Young Musicians Extraordinaire
Charlotte Giraudeau, piano, Sofia Fakeley, violin and Susanne Ruberg-Gordon, piano Each year as part of our mission to nurture local talent, we bring remarkable young musicians to our audience in High River.
In 2025, this tradition continues with the presentation of two incredible emerging artists, pianist Charlotte Giraudeau, and cellist Sofia Fakeley with celebrated collaborative pianist Susanne Ruberg-Gordon.
